The urban landscapes depicted in my In Camera series are partially obstructed by foreground objects. I look for surfaces that
act like veils, draping, separating, distorting and concealing in a manner that both perplexes and seduces. These surfaces
however, are never completely opaque or impenetrable. We are invited to peak into and look beyond the holes, gaps, tears,
and openings in the foreground in order to view the scenes behind. The images are meant to stimulate us to question notions
of familiarity and evoke the contingent character ever so present, as we attempt to perceive our surroundings.
