Hashtag365 (Clearview Books) contains images from Sjoerd Spendel and Lennart de Jong’s arresting 365 photography project. Initially novices keen on improving their photography, the pair (who met in the blogosphere) took one black and white photograph a day and posted it on Tumblr, relying on each other for motivation. With over 300,000 followers, the blog of their photographs was not only the biggest Tumblr in The Netherlands, it was at points, the biggest in Belgium and Luxembourg too! The images have been brought together in a new book. From cityscapes, carparks, toddlers, girlfriends, and bicycles, to forests in Sweden, bicycles in Berlin, sand dunes in Morocco and Alpine ski slopes, the unfussy capture the dynamism and (often unnoticed) beauty of everyday life.
