Street dogs are seen everywhere in Kolkata. My interest began when I saw one of them in one of the gardens
adjacent to India Gate in Delhi. It was a pet dog of reputed breed only recently abandoned by its. The hapless dog
was in a state of total shock and trauma as it had clearly never had to survive life on the streets before.
Since then I have photographed street dogs on a regular basis. The images below were taken in Kolkata.
