He had an eight-track player in his 1970s Challenger. He worked at the local pizza place and let me drive it once in the parking lot after work. Car culture evolved from a project I began in 2006 on the Etown Racers, a car gang from my hometown. Most of whom I have known since kindergarten. I have spent weekends cruising alleys and garages, even one day being picked up at my mother's house by one of the Etown racers. Maybe that's what it is about old fast cars, you can step back in time to a past life when cute boys picked you up at your mother's house and life wasn't so complicated and gas was a whole lot cheaper.
