This photo-essay documents Repton Boxing Club’s journey to the USA to compete in the Knock Out Cancer charity boxing event against Sharapov MMA Academy, of Orlando, Florida. Repton Boxing Club is located in Bethnal Green in London’s East End. The Boxing Club grew out of Repton Boys Club, which was established in 1884 by Repton Public School as a way of giving support and encouragement to the young men in  one of England’s poorest communities. Knockout Cancer is an annual charity boxing event aiming to improve the lives of children on two important fronts by giving them opportunities for medical care and athletic activities. Each day, 46 children are diagnosed with cancer. Each day, countless other children and young adult lives are lost to crime, drugs, and institutions. Knockout Cancer aims to make a difference in the lives of young people. The event was created to support two key initiatives in the Central Florida Area: Kids Beating Cancer and Florida PAL.
