Nature provides an incredible opportunity for the photographic artist. Textures,
patterns, forms, and shapes abound, and the play of light and shadow on the
landscape express the drama of Mother Nature in all her moods. I seek out those
moments of nature that express the gestures, moods and moments, always on the
lookout for photographs that transcend the standard image. Bear paw prints
versus the actual bear, the reflections of autumn’s palette, the drama of storm light
over the desert – all of these show just how expressive nature is. When we spend
quality time surrounded by the natural world, we begin to open our eyes and
hearts to the beauty that surrounds us, seeing more deeply and creating images
that are more expressive.
My book teaches others how to see and create more expressive images of nature’s
wonderful beauty in their own interpretive style.
