Mexican wrestling is a passion for a whole country, a sport for skilfull athetles and a big show, a mystery behind
colorful masks....It’s not just a fight between werstlers but also a battle between the Good and the Bad.
Técnicos, the ‘good guys’ who play according to the rules and perform more advanced technics, and Rudos, the rude
‘bad guys’ who break the rules, fight against each other under an honor code that both sides respect. Wrestlers such
as El Santo (The Saint) and Blue Demon have become legends in Mexico and abroad.
In 2008 El Hijo del Santo (the Son of the Saint), Blue Demond Jr and other famous Mexican fighters including Solar,
Cassandro, El Solitário, Corazón de Barrio went to Madrid, Spain, to compete. These photos are my small contribution
to what happened during those fights.
