JJ Bentley To commission JJ or to request prints of his work: www.jjbentley.com J.J. Bentley has risen from the sea of professional photographers to capture not only nuances, but personal representations of the hard life, the good life, pain, sacrifice, grief, inner peace, and a temper refined in the crucible of the human experience. His pictures present a unique skill in identifying an entire personality through the squint of an eye, an empty stare, a knowing glance, a pronounced scar, a dirty face, or clean but uncut hair blown in the wind. Bentley's work depicts a sincere sympathy for his subjects while portraying an expert ability to capture far more than a face. Knowing when to snap the shutter is what differentiates him from the everyday shutterbug. Waiting for that eye glimmer, cocking of the mouth, pursing of the lips, the shadow that allows the natural lighting to accentuate the mood, all contribute to the awesomeness of the final product -that is a gift.

I make an every effort to be a good person although it is of little importance in today's life. I also spend my time listening to the music of earth. Professionally I am responsible for managing, development and people. I like controlling how things grow. As a 6-year-old boy I managed to take my first picture not appreciating attempts made by my father to instill the passion which was a bit awkward to me, to be honest. At that time I simply saved the most interesting pictures until the time of  awakening which happened more or less a year ago. I decided to overcome my inhibitions and I gave up dull thoughts of  interpreting the world. I stopped escaping.
