Hunting with Hounds Dorset, England

In the wake of British Prime Minister, David Cameron’s desire to reverse the fox hunting ban, I (as a Londoner and long established town dweller) went to observe the prohibited sport for myself. Hunting with dogs was banned in England in 2004 and yet the hunts continue to meet throughout the winter months with packs of hounds and are still seen by many as an important part of rural life. December 2015.
The Foxhound is a type of large hunting dog bred for its strong hunting instincts, stamina and keen sense of smell.
The hunt meets to socialise, eat Christmas cake and drink Port before the chase begins.
