I was in Ukraine between the 7th and the 20th May 2014 reporting on the conflict for Nur photo agency but also
working on personal projects.
I have chosen photographs that I think work well in black and white and well represent the situation on the ground.

16 May 2014 - Nina Fodoroma, 76 years old is a "Babushka", (a grandmother). She's shows us a photo of her when
she got married at the age of 21.
14 May 2014 - Ukrainian army checkpoint in between Donetsk and Slavianks. This soldier saw me taking photos and
came to tell me to immediately stop or he would seize my equipment.
