Back to menu From Fish Market to Plate The British Love Affair with Fish & Chips
Established in 1922, Jacksons traditional family run fishmongers and fish & chip shop is a familiar part of the street scene in the market town of Newton Abbot in Devon.  The family aims to provide the best quality fresh local fish, top quality smoked fish & shellfish which they buy from the fish market in the neighbouring fishing port of Brixham. As well as producing their own smoked fish, smoked over oak chips for a fuller flavour and sliced by hand in the traditional way they also run a traditional fish & chip shop restaurant which is situated behind the wet fish shop and offers delicious freshly cooked fish & chips and daily specials from Brixham.
