Werner Mansholt, born 1949, lives and works in Darmstadt, Germany. He studied
photography with well-known photographers such as Arno R. Minkkinen, Anja
Niedringhaus, Martino Marangoni, Wolfgang Zurborn, Andreas Herzau, Eva Leitolf,
Philipp Blenkinsop, Kadir v. Lohuizen, Simon Norfolk (Masterclass). His work was
exhibited in Germany (Berlin, Cologne, Hamburg, Darmstadt etc.), Finland,
Georgia, Poland etc. and published in magazines, calendars, newpapers, almanacs
and books/ catalogues. In 2013 he published the book Besuch bei Detlef Kraft (with

Gillian Hyland

Hyland has exhibited around the world and received several awards, including the
Sony Portrait Award, International Photographer of the Year, Travel Photography
Society Awards, IPA, National Open Art, Royal Arts Prize, Magenta Flash Forward,
La Quatrieme Image, AX3 – American Aperture Award, Moscow International Photo
Award, PX3 – Prix de la Photographie, and the PDN Curator Awards.
Hyland’s visual career began as a stylist and set designer. Highly successful, the
move to photography was a natural progression in wanting to create her own
imagery. Acclaimed for her use of colour and settings, Hyland has used the same
title for this body of work since its inception in 2014 and is now bringing her highly
regarded work together in a covetable hardcover format. Born in Dublin in 1982 artist

Damian Bird, is a photographer and photojournalist with many years of experience,
working in war zones and trouble spots around the globe. He was educated in
Photography at the Surrey College of Art and Design and at the London College of
Communication where he studied for a post graduate degree in Photojournalism. In
2011 he founded Life Force magazine with his business partner and wife of 14
years, Alice. As well as Editing Life Force magazine, he is currently engaged in
photographing a series of photo-essays on English culture and has recently
returned to Afghanistan. He continues to have his work published in national and
international newspapers and magazines including The Times, the Telegraph, the
Express, the Observer, GQ, Esquire, Dazed & Confused,The Face, Country Life
and Geographical magazine.
Sara Hannant

Sara Hannant is an award-winning fine art and editorial photographer, best known
for her images exploring magic, myth and folklore. Her work has been widely
exhibited including at The Royal Society of Arts, Christie’s and Towner Art Gallery.
Sara’s photographs have been published on the BBC, The Guardian and in the
Sunday Times among others. She graduated in Art and Design in the Social Context
at Dartington College of Arts, Documentary Photography at Newport Art College and
MA Visual Arts at UAL. Sara is a visiting lecturer at City, University London where
she leads modules in Visual Journalism, and Advanced Photojournalism.
She was an Honorary Winner in the Moscow International Foto Awards in 2017 and
2016 and an Honorary Winner Prix de la Photographie Paris: Px3 in 2015. She was

London-based photographer, Horst A. Friedrichs shoots ultra cool images for
advertising and editorial campaigns. As one of the most popular trend-spotting
photographers he blends classic heritage with traditional style. His images are
created in a reportage style capturing natural moments on location or in studio.

Polly Braden & David Campany

Polly Braden is renowned for her naturalistic photographs of human relationships
and has previously published two books: China Between (2011) and Great
Interactions: Life With Learning Disabilities and Autism (2016). She works on long
term self-initiated projects as well as commissions for international publications.
David Campany writes, curates exhibitions and makes images. His many books
include A Handful of Dust (2015), The Open Road: photography and the
American Road Trip (2014). David is a recipient of the ICP Infinity Award and the
Kraszna-Krauz Award.
John Humble

(b. 1944, Washington DC) earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland,
College Park, and Master of Fine Arts from the San Francisco Art Institute. He is a
Vietnam War veteran and former photojournalist for the Washington Post. Humble’s
impressive body of photographic work is informed by his extensive world travels. He
is best known for his in-depth series of landscapes documenting Los Angeles, where
he has lived since 1974. His photographs have been featured in solo and group
exhibitions internationally and are in the collections of a number of prominent
institutions, including the Corcoran Gallery of Art, the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Los
Angeles County Museum of Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles.

Rajib Singha is a self-taught photographer and a teacher by profession who lives in
West Bengal, India. Rajib has contributed to multiple citizen journalism sites such
as Reuters Your View, Yahoo News, BBC Your View and others, along with national
news dailies. As well, Rajib has won multiple photography competitions nationally
and internationally.

I’m a 31 years old photographer from Bucharest, Romania but I spent most of the
last 4 years traveling in different countries of the world.
My father is a painter so since my childhood I was surrounded by colours. When I
was 16, I discovered photography but, unfortunately, in the next years I couldn’t
make a living with it, so I had to work in other fields, where I could earn a decent
income. Traveling during vacations as a backpacker, in different parts of the world,
made me discover the diversity of our planet. So when I was 27 I decided to quit my
ordinary life in Bucharest and put all my efforts and savings into travel and
photography.

Douglas Ljungkvist is a Brooklyn based fine art photographer originally from
Sweden. His personal work explores vernacular beauty that is graphic, colorful, and

Lisa Kereszi

Lisa Kereszi was born in and grew up in Suburban Philadelphia to a father who ran
the family auto junkyard and to a mother who owned an antique shop. In 1995 she
graduated from Bard College with a Bachelor of Arts. She teaches photography and
is the Director of Undergraduate Studies in Art at the Yale School of Art, where she
received her MFA in 2000.
Her work is in the collections of the Met, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the
New Museum of Contemporary Art, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, and others. She is
represented by Yancey Richardson Gallery in New York, where she most recently
had the 2012 solo show, “The Party’s Over,” a thematic follow-up to her 2009 book
“Fun and Games,” both which explore the ways in which we, as humans, devise
escapist environments and spectacles to remove ourselves from the realities of
everyday life.
He lives in Devon with his wife and four children.

industry, as a stylist, art director and set designer. This diverse background helped her realise and develop and artistic,
photographic approach which led to the creation of the series Words in Sight.

I see myself like a very normal woman, with ups and downs. I work hard for my dream, and, by chance, this dream is
very appreciated by mass media. But there are millions of women in the world, that work even harder for their goals
and maybe their activities don’t seem so spectacular from the outside. I hope I will have the chance to photograph
some of them for the project, capturing their inner and outer beauty and showing them how special they are.

In 2003, she was granted a commission to photograph Governors Island by the Public Art Fund, which culminated in
a 2004 exhibition catalog, Governors Island, in which she explored what was left behind on a former army and coast
guard base just a stone’s throw from Manhattan. Two other monographs are in print: Fantasies in 2008, which
explored the burlesque revivalist movement and her latest book, Joe’s Junk Yard, which was released in 2012, and
examined her own family’s achievement and subsequent loss of the American Dream. It was followed up by an
artist's book using appropriated images of women taken by her father in the 1970's and 80's entitled The More I Learn
About Women, published by J&L Books. She lives and works near New Haven, Connecticut, where she is raising a
toddler.
Her work from the Joe’s Junk Yard series is currently on view Summer 2017 at the Mike Kelley Mobile Homestead at
the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit.
Toni Meneguzzo

Toni Meneguzzo is an international renowned photographer and a researcher. His
successful career started 40 years ago, and is characterised by research and
innovation: he developed unique photo techniques that also defined his iconic style,
like the big size Polaroid photos for the fashion industry (20x25, that became his
distinguished mark, and soon was adopted by many others) and the current photo
sequences edited in videos (stop motion).
The research embraces as well the subjects of this personal work, like the
landscapes, the feminine nudes, the abstract eyes, the holy cows, the rural bandits,
and the wild trees.
Thanks to his long and successful career in fashion, he extended his vision to
different fields including architecture and design photography, always with a surprising point of view producing images
with a clear vision of architecture, aesthetics and geometry.
His work has been shown all over the world, both in personal and collective exhibitions, and it has been published by
the most important international magazines (Condé Nast Group publications, New York Times, Harpers’ Bazaar, Elle,
etc.) and books on photography, fashion, lifestyle, design.
Toni’s stop motion videos have been shown at the Triennale Design Museum in Milan, at the Musée des Arts
décoratifs du Louvre in Paris, and at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York.
His latest personal projects include: Gauchillos that is a research on the syncretism of the Argentinian rural bandits;
Chrissi Island that is dedicated to the wild trees of the Greek islet; Divine Bovine that is an anthropological research
on the Hindu tradition of Holy Cows, uniquely painted and dressed during specific ceremonies and celebrations.
