An two hour drive from Bangkok, the Ayutthaya complex
of Buddhist temples and stupa, a stone sculpture of
Buddha’s head has become encased within the growing
branches of a Banyan tree. The area in which the tree
stands had been left dormant for near on 500 years, thus
producing the uncanny phenomenon, Ayutthaya, Thailand.

His Holiness turned 80 years old on 6th July 2015. On
the 4th January 2016, some of his Holiness’ close friends
and admirers came together at the Oberoi Hotel in New
Delhi, to congratulate him on his important milestone and
to wish him a healthy and long life.

Sot against a Thai opponent on the borders of Thailand
and Myanmar, Mai Sot, Thailand. An annual number of
boxing matches take place over three days between the
Burmese and Thais to dispel any hard feelings between
the two countries that may have occurred over the year.
The boxer pictured won all his matches.
