Varanasi is one of the oldest and holiest cities in India. The culture of Varanasi is closely associated with the River Ganges because of the river’s religious importance and Lord Shiva. Varanasi has its own unique architecture, culture and a walk along the famous river ghats and narrow lanes or a boat ride on the river will live long in your memory. The place is photographer’s paradise. Here always you will get pilgrims, sadhus, boat man, playful kids, birds, dogs, cows, monkeys and many other elements to photograph. The rivers ghats and the lanes are always remain busy with activities. In fact the city has great scenes to see, real history to feel and thus creates immense opportunities of photography. Varanasi is one of my favourite places for human interest photography and it inspires me to do what I love to do. These images were taken during my 2016, 2017 and 2018 visits to Varanasi.
