Portraits of Survival, is a collection of intimate photographs from conflict zones around the world. Kamber, a former combat photographer with The New York Times, has covered over a dozen conflicts in the past decade.  In the quiet moments, when major combat had ended or in the lull between battles, Kamber took out his Hasselblad 120mm camera and captured remarkably poignant portraits of the civilians whose lives have been affected by these wars. The photographs were made in Afghanistan, Nigeria and Iraq, among other war torn countries.
