FEBRUARY 2013 BACK ISSUE by Brett Ziegler With this body of work I strive to see the world from a different perspective by focusing on subtle moments, interesting scenes, and the beauty of daily life. Color and light have always caught my eye, and continue to play a strong role in my work creating graphic images. These images are selected from the an ongoing, collaborative project, with fellow photographer Matt McLoone, titled Frankton vs. Raxar: Is this Real Life? The work is all shot on iphones with the Hisptamatic app, a different, simpler medium than a larger DSLR. The "battle" or collaborative format of the blog (franktonvsraxar.tumblr.com) is a fun way to go about shooting, allowing us to feed off of each others work and inspire creativity.
